Connection of active-type analog sensors (voltage) with no electrically \ isolated power supply¶
Standard ranges
Connection example
Caution
If AGND is not directly connected to ZP at the sensor, the supply current flows via the AGND line to ZP. Measuring errors can occur caused by voltage differences (voltage drops) between ZP and AGND.
The measuring ranges can be configured AI531 - Analog Input Module AI531 - Analog Input Module:
Voltage | -50 … +50 mV | 1 channel used |
Voltage | -500 … +500 mV | 1 channel used |
Voltage | -1 … +1 V | 1 channel used |
Voltage | -5 … +5 V | 1 channel used |
Voltage | -10 … +10 V | 1 channel used |
Voltage | 0 … +5 V | 1 channel used |
Voltage | 0 … +10 V | 1 channel used |
Common mode range (+/-20 V)

The function of the LEDs is described under Diagnosis and displays / displays AI531 - Analog Input Module.
In order to avoid error messages or long processing times, it is useful to configure unused analog input channels as “unused”.
