Intended Purpose

The analog input/output module AX522 can be used as a remote expansion module at the following devices:

• S500 bus modules (e. g. DC505-FBP, CI592-CS31, CI501-PNIO, CI541-DP, CI581-CN)
• AC500 CPUs (PM5xx)

It contains the following features:

• 8 configurable analog inputs (I0 to I7) in 1 group (1.0 … 2.7)
• 8 configurable analog outputs (O0 to O7) in 1 group (3.0 … 4.7)

The configuration is performed by software. The modules are supplied with a process voltage of 24 VDC.

The inputs and outputs are electrically isolated from all other circuitry of the module.

For use in extreme ambient conditions (e.g. wider temperature and humidity range), a special XC version of the device is available.
