Intended Purpose

The analog input module AI523 can be used as a decentralized communication interface module at the following devices:

• S500 bus modules (e. g. DC505-FBP, CI592-CS31, CI501-PNIO, CI541-DP, CI581-CN)
• AC500 CPUs (PM5xx)

It contains the following features:

• 16 configurable analog inputs (I0 to I15) in 2 groups (1.0…2.7 and 3.0…4.7)

The configuration is performed by software. The modules are supplied with a process voltage of 24 VDC.

The inputs are electrically isolated from all other circuitry of the module.

For use in extreme ambient conditions (e.g. wider temperature and humidity range), a special XC version of the device is available.
