Electrical Connection of the AC500-eCo CPU

Danger

:strong:Danger of life through electric shock.

Before using the AC500-eCo CPU refer to the “Regulations Concerning the Setting up of Installations” for safety instructions. http://search-ext.abb.com/library/Download.aspx?DocumentID=3ADR025003*&Action=Launch

Caution

:strong:Risk of damaging the PLC modules.

The CPU can be damaged by overvoltages and short circuits. Make sure that all voltage sources (supply and process voltage) are switched off before you begin with operations at the system.

AC500-eCo CPU needs to be powered by 24 V DC. Use the 5-pin screw-type terminal block for connecting the power.

Caution

:strong:Risk of damaging the CPU and the connected modules.

Voltages > 35 V DC can destroy the AC500-eCo CPU and the connected modules. Make sure that the supply voltage never exceeds 35 V DC.
