Comparing Projects

You can compare the open project with a reference project. If there are differences, then you can copy the contents of the reference project into the current project.

The command Project ‣ Compare opens the Project compare dialog for configuring and starting the compare.

Then, Automation Builder displays the compare results in a compare view, where the objects are lined up side by side in a tree structure. For each object, the differences are marked with colors and symbols. This is how you detect whether or not the contents, properties, or access rights are different. For differences in the contents, you can open a detailed compare view, for example to accept only individual changes in the code.

An object that is different from the reference object can be activated and accepted. When you exit the Project compare view, you can select whether the activated contents are accepted into the current project. Only then is the current project changed.
