AC500 V3 Firmware Update

Execute following steps to update the firmware for CPU by Automation_Builder 2.0:

Note

These steps are also necessary for commissioning V3 CPU.

  1. Create a project with PLC_AC500_V3.

  2. Right-click on CPU PLC_AC500_V3 (PM5650-2ETH).

  3. Click Reset origin device [PLC_AC500_V3].

  4. Reboot CPU – Power off/on

    ⇒

    CPU remains in Init now – UpdateFW active.

  5. Open Tab of CPU and go to DeviceMaintenance.

  6. Enter the IP address and click Execute update.

Note

:strong:Attention!

When status is showing, Update finished! After reboot the firmware is ready for operation, the CPU is still performing the update.

Check flashing LED!
