Export the Compatible Modules

If necessary, export the compatible configuration modules, for example I/O Modules, CS31-Bus or ASCII configuration, into a XML file before changing the Target System. That configuration module can be imported into the new target later.

Export the I/O Modules

In the device tree, right-click on I/O-Bus and choose Export module.

Enter a file name and proceed with Save.

Export the CS31 Bus Modules

In the device tree, right-click on Interfaces/COM1 - CS31-Bus and choose Export module.

Enter a file name and proceed with Save.

Export the ASCII Settings

Set the module parameter RTS control to telegram.

../_images/fb2775f1e38c41490a33139000eba54e

Right-click on Interfaces/COM2- ASCII and choose Export module.

Enter a file name and proceed with Save.

Note

Module Syslibcom and Online access has the same export procedure as “ASCII“. This procedure should also be taken into account if “multi” module should be exported.

Note

Other modules like CPU parameters and Interfaces (as a whole module) can not be imported because of the non-compatibility between the two target systems. For COM configuration:

  • MODBUS is not compatible between the two targets.
  • As for Multi, it depends on its subelements: it is not compatible as long as MODBUS is appended.
