Parallel operation of different PROFINET IO systems in one network

With PROFINET IO it is possible to create multiple Controller-device-systems in one network. They are built from functional independent subsystems, each consisting of one controller and a part of the IO Devices in the network. The used topologies and layout of the IO Devices do not matter. There is no possibility for the controllers to exchange information directly, but one can use controller / device relations to establish communication links between different controllers (using CM589-PNIO(-4) communication modules).
