The following figure shows the connection of active-type sensors (voltage) with no electrically isolated power supply.

Caution

If AGND is not connected directly to ZP at the sensor, the supply current flows via the AGND line to ZP. Measuring errors can occur caused by voltage differences (voltage drops) between ZP and AGND.

The following measuring ranges can be configured AI531 Analog Input Module AI531 Analog Input Module:

Voltage -50 … +50 mV 1 channel used
Voltage -500 … +500 mV 1 channel used
Voltage -1 … +1 V 1 channel used
Voltage -5 … +5 V 1 channel used
Voltage -10 … +10 V 1 channel used
Voltage 0 … +5 V 1 channel used
Voltage 0 … +10 V 1 channel used

In order to avoid error messages or long processing times, it is useful to configure unused analog input channels as “unused”.
