Short Description and Overview

The Online diagnostics in ABB Automation Builder consists of a set of partly animated, mostly read only views. They can be invoked in Online Mode of ABB Automation Builder by a double click on a project tree element which shows a blue circle indicating that this element is able to show diagnostic information.

The following types of online diagnostics and statistics are available:

CPU/PLC related diagnostics with:

• Complete error log with detailed description
• Overview of all readable firmware and hardware versions (CPUs, Communication Modules and I/O Bus)
• Statistics like CPU load, resource state, battery state, user program and I/O Bus statistics, and an option to view and set PLC date and time
• PLC Browser view which accepts all supported PLC Browser commands
