Power supplyΒΆ

Depending on the variant, the CPUs can be connected to the following supply voltages:

24 V DC 100 - 240 V AC

The connection is performed via a 5-pin removable terminal block. The terminal block is also available as a spare part (inside TA570 Spare Part Set for AC500-eCo CPUs TA570 - Spare Part Set).

The 24-V-DC-variant contains 2 L+ and M terminals. The L+ terminal on the left side is the input and the right side is the output. The M terminals are interconnected internally. The supply can be easily looped through to supply the Onboard Digital Inputs.

Caution

:strong:Risk of damaging the CPU and the connected \ modules!

Voltages > 35 V DC (DC variants only) or > 288 V AC (AC variants only) can destroy the CPU and the connected modules.

Make sure that the supply voltage never exceeds 35 V DC / 288 V AC.

Caution

:strong:Risk of damaging the CPU!

Excess currents at 24 V DC output (24 V DC CPU variant) will damage the CPU.

Use an appropriate fuse (3 A fast) within 24 V DC input connection.

The 100-240-V-AC-variant contains an internally power supply with a wide-range input. It provides a 24-V-DC-output at the terminals L+ and M which can be used to supply the Onboard Digital Inputs.

Note

The voltage output at 100-240-V-AC-variants can provide 180 mA max. The output is protected against overload by a self-resetting fuse (PTC).

Note

According to IEC 60204-1:2005, control transformers with electrically isolated windings must be used for all control circuits which are supplied by an AC voltage.
