CD522 Used as PWM Output Device

The Function Block CD522_PWM_OUT: CD522_PWM_OUT CD522_PWM_OUT can be used to control 1 output pulsing signal (Max= 100 KHz) with an adjustable duty cycle (ON/OFF ratio, max=100%).

The module CD522 can be used to control one output pulses signals with an adjustable duty cycle (ON/OFF ratio).The PWM operating mode is configured in PLC Configuration using module parameters (see picture below).

After that, it is activated during the initialization phase (power-on, cold start, warm start).

The data exchange to and from the user program is performed using input and output operands. These necessary operands are created and reserved automatically, when one module CD522 is added in I/O-Bus configuration.

The module CD522 provides two independent outputs which can be used in PWM mode (O0 and O1). Both have the same specification and can work completely separated.

The Function Block CD522_PWM_OUT should be used to control with input EN_PWM, configure the frequency with input FREQ and the input duty cycle DUTY_CYCLE of PWM outputs (pulse-width modulator).
