Configuring the Onboard I/O for CPU PM56xΒΆ
AC500 CPU PM56x has 6 digital onboard inputs, 6 digital onboard outputs, 2 analog onboard inputs and 1 analog onboard output. The 2 analog onboard inputs can be configured as 2 digital onboard inputs, so the maximal digital inputs number is 8. The input and output channels can be provided as WORD, BYTE and BOOL.
The 6DI+6DO+2AI+1AO onboard I/Os support the following channel functions:

Same as CPU PM55x, CPU PM56x has a maximum of 8 digital onboard inputs and 6 digital onboard outputs. The channel parameters for onboard digital I/Os are the same as those of CPU PM55x. Analog input channels AI0&AI1 on CPU PM56x are for digital input channels 6&7 on CPU PM55x.

Note
Default value of channel AI0&AI1 is digital input. The user has to change the configuration parameter to enable the analog input function.
