Configuration of the Cyclic Data Exchange CM574-RS \ <-> AC500-CPU

Configuration of the cyclic data exchange of the CM574-RS with the AC500 CPU via inputs/outputs is carried out in the entry “CPU Communication”.

The configuration is performed in the same way as the configuration in the AC500 CPU and is described in Configuration of the CM574-RS in the project of the AC500 CPU Configuring the RCOM/RCOM+ Communication Module CM574-RCOM.

Note

In the project of the CM574-RS, the same I/O modules have to be configured for data exchange with the AC500-CPU as they are configured in the AC500 CPU project.

For the example with 4 bytes inputs/outputs each in channel 1 and 4 words inputs/outputs each in channel 2 described for the configuration of the CM574-RS in the AC500 CPU project, the corresponding configuration in the CM574 project is as follows:

For cyclic data exchange it needs to be noted that the exchange may be cyclical, but not with chronological synchronism. For example, if the value of an exchange variable changes in every PLC cycle, it cannot be ensured that the partner recognizes this signal change. For this reason, it has to be ensured that the signals are present for a sufficient time period. This particularly applies in case of several tasks with different cycle times.
