SRAMdisk

The SRAMdisk is a battery-buffered, non-volatile RAMdisk located in the SRAM and can be used for any application purpose. If a battery is inserted into to the CPU, data stored in the SRAMdisk will not get lost during a power-down cycle. During PLC startup, the SRAMdisk will be formatted automatically if no or an empty battery is inserted into the CPU. In this case, the PLC issues an E4 error (#0153286827 = [4-9-34-31-2-43] = SRAMdisk has been formatted). The errors visibility depends on the setting of the CPU parameter Check for battery. If the CPU parameter is set to TRUE, the system will signal the formatting of the SRAMdisk. Otherwise, the error will not be signalized.
