Possible positions for mechanical encoding (1 to 18)

Attention

Terminal Units (S500) S500 Terminal Units, overview and CPU Terminal Bases (AC500) TB51x-TB54x have an mechanical coding which prevents that modules are inserted to wrong places. Otherwise

  • dangerous parasitic voltages could occur or
  • modules could be destroyed.

The coding either makes it impossible to insert the module to the wrong place or blocks its electrical function (outputs are not activated).

The following figures show the possible encodings.
