Choose tree based to display the I/O mapping in tree structure.

Choose list based to display the I/O mapping as list with the functionalities of the ToolBar.

Choose both to display both the tree structure (I/O Mapping tab) and the list view (I/O mapping list tab).

Available Channel Information

The I/O mapping list displays the channel information in offline and online mode.

In offline mode, the following channel information are visible as columns:

  • Object Name
  • Variable
  • Channel
  • Address
  • Type
  • Description
  • Terminal

You can edit the columns Variable and Description. All other columns are read-only.

In online mode, in addition, the following column is visible:

  • Current Values

In online view, all columns are read-only.

The Object Name column presents the node name and the path of the node from which it is launched. Example: DX522 (CI590_CS31\).

The order of the devices in I/O mapping list is synchronized with the order in the device tree.

The channels of a device are ordered by the device description file. If channels have a section, the channel information is represented in a specific format. Example: Fast counter: Actual value 1. These channels are listed at last position of a device.

In the Terminal column, the device tag information helps you for wiring the devices. Example: DX522Tag:1:0.
