Overview

The usage of the MultiOnlineChange tool should have the following workflow:

1. Create and test an Automation Builder project and create a V2.3 CODESYS project in the master PLC independently from the MultiOnlineChange tool and issue 1 download to create all the files needed for the MultiOnlineChange tool.

2. In the MultiOnlineChange tool, define your PLCs with IP address and a folder where the *.ri file shall be stored for each PLC (the PLC on position one of the PLC grid must be the master PLC – this is indicated by an orange frame).

3. Optional: If checked, the MultiOnlineChange tool first loads the given firmware file to the PLC, and reboots it afterwards to start with the new firmware.

4. Use multi download to download the project to all PLCs.

5. Optional: Change the project in the master PLC (it is recommended to use the MultiOnlineChange tool to start CODESYS).

6. Optional: Perform online change for all PLCs.

7. View the results of the download/online changes.
