Configuration of the Extended Settings PM5xy-ETH Onboard Ethernet < \ CBP 2.4¶
Tab Extended settings provides settings for the extended features of the PM5xy-ETH onboard Ethernet, such as SNTP or the web server:
The following parameters are available:
Parameter | Default | Value | Meaning | Parameter |
---|---|---|---|---|
Remote configuration | ||||
ABB NetConfig protocol active | Enabled | Disabled | ABB NetConfig protocol is disabled. | - |
Enabled | ABB NetConfig protocol is enabled. | |||
SNTP configuration | ||||
SNTP protocol active | Disabled | Disabled | SNTP protocol is inactive. | - |
Enabled | SNTP protocol is active. | |||
Client | ||||
Client mode active | Disabled | Disabled | SNTP client mode is disabled. | - |
Enabled | SNTP client mode is enabled. | |||
Server | 0.0.0.0 | Valid IP address | IP address of the SNTP server. | - |
Backup server | 0.0.0.0 | Valid IP address | IP address of the SNTP server which will be used if the primary server is unreachable. | - |
Interval | 60 | 15…120 | Parameter Interval sets the interval in [s] for outgoing SNTP requests. | - |
Wait for sync before RUN | Disabled | CPU does not wait for time synchronization from SNTP server and turns to RUN state immediately. | - | |
Enabled | CPU waits for time synchronization from SNTP server and remains in Stop state after the time is over. | |||
Time to wait for sync | 10 | 1…120 | The time the CPU waits for receiving the time synchronization from SNTP server. If the CPU does not receive a valid time within the given period, an EC4 error appears. | - |
Allow timejumps | Disabled | Disabled | Timejumps lead to an EC4 error in the CPU. | - |
Enabled | Timejumps are accepted. Parameter Allowed threshold for timejumps can be adapted to determine the threshold for the timejumps. If the needed timejump exceeds the threshold, the CPU refuses the setting of time received from SNTP server and an EC4 error appears. | |||
Allowed threshold for timejumps | 60 | 1…3600 | Parameter Allowed threshold for timejumps represents the threshold which is allowed for timejumps in [s]. | - |
Server | ||||
Server mode active | Disabled | Disabled | SNTP server is disabled. | - |
Enabled | SNTP server is enabled. | |||
Access control | 0.0.0.0/24 | Valid IP address | Parameter Access control sets the subnet from which incoming SNTP requests are accepted. Request from other subnets will be ignored. Here you can enter 0.0.0.0/24 That means the IP address/ Subnet mask The subnetmask 24 means 255.255.255.0 The subnetmask 16 means 255.255.0.0 |

Web server (see section Configuration of the Web server for more information) | ||||
Web server active | Disabled | Disabled | Web server is disabled and not available. | Web server active |
Enabled | Web server is enabled and available. | |||
Port | 80 | 0…65535 | Listen port of the web server. | Port |
Connections | 1 | 1…25 (depending on CPU type) | Number of parallel connections accepted by the web server. | Connections |
