CANopen® over EtherCAT® (CoE)

The CANopen® protocol is preferably used for transferring configuration parameters to the slaves. It can also used for the transmission of process data. Instead of a standard CANopen® protocol, which can only transfer 9 bytes of user data, CoE can transfer a maximum of 1478 bytes. Therefor, the CoE protocol can be used to transfer process data with variable length.
