Storing Force Values onto SD Memory Card

The force values can be written onto a SD Memory Card to re-activate them after a loss of power supply voltage. A precondition for storing is that a SD Memory Card is plugged into the CPU.

For storing the force values, there is no need for a special program. It is performed automatically if the respective options are configured in the CoDeSys project.

  1. Open the Target Settings in Tab Ressources via double-click.

  2. In tab General, activate the check boxes Retain forcing and Save and proceed with OK button.

  3. After that, compile the project and store it to the flash memory of the CPU (use Create boot project).

If these preconditions are fulfilled, the current force values are stored onto the SD Memory Card at every forcing. When a logout from the PLC is performed, the following dialog box appears:

Proceed this dialog box with the “No” button to keep the forced values.

After a loss of power supply voltage, the values are read from the SD Memory Card automatically and the forcing is activated.

Note

The force values are only deleted from the SD Memory Card, if forcing will be de-activated.
