Protocol Switch

In Automation_Builder, the projects can be switched between real PLC mode to/from virtual mode. Automation_Builder internally manages the commands and parameters that are given to Panel_Builder software to update the changes in protocol to communicate with real or virtual PLC.

Automation_Builder verifies the following conditions each time Panel_Builder is launched.

• If the project is switched between virtual to normal mode or vice versa, a message is displayed. You can update the panel project to use new protocol or cancel the update.
• If the project is switched between virtual to normal mode or vice versa and the Drive application program is not build, an error message is displayed. The Drive application program must be configured and rebuild to update Panel_Builder project.
• When the virtual mode project is switched to normal mode during which Panel_Builder is already open, a message is displayed. You can close and relaunch Panel_Builder by activating Update Panel_Builder project on launch check box.
• When the virtual mode project is switched to normal mode, during which if you try to launch Panel_Builder with Update Panel_Builder project on launch unchecked, a message is displayed. The tags and protocol information of panel project will not synchronize with Automation_Builder.
