Simple Ring Topology (smaller systems)

In a simple configuration, CI52x modules can be part of a ring if MRP protocol is used in the managed switches. Then the CI52x are connected from one to another device (“daisy chained”) through e.g. two network switches. The redundancy protocol detects a closed ring and opens one port. The user has to configure the necessary ring configurations and enable ring manager for the used ring ports in one switch.
