Quick Start list and Guidelines for Usage¶
Configuration of the HA system is done by the following steps (for details see the example documentations):
- Install the hardware HA-Modbus TCP - System Technology
- Install Automation_Builder including the latest libraries HA-Modbus TCP - System Technology
- Install the Bulk Data Manager tool (BDM) HA-Modbus TCP - System Technology
- Create a new project in Automation_Builder for the chosen CPUs
- Assign the IP addresses in ³ 2 different ETHERNET networks:
- SCADA network: SCADA, connected PLC A and PLC B
- Field network: connected CI52x cluster(s)
- Configure a network switch in the field network (if managed /redundant)
- Run BDM tool to configure CI521 network, export files
- Import Bulk data files to the Automation_Builder project
- Add CAN configuration if used for Sync connection/ lifecom2 exchange
- Add Modbus TCP configuration
- Add Callback stop function and call it in the system event “stop”
- (Add optional HA utility function blocks or function block HA DATASYNC)
- Add the task configuration HA-Modbus TCP - System Technology
- Compile and download to both PLCs (simplified in V3 via integrated download manager)
- Create a boot project and RUN
- Operation: Test use cases e.g. by putting the primary PLC to STOP mode and observe the switch over
