Working with Script Objects

Adding a script object to the project

  1. In the device tree right-click on a PLC node and select Add object.

  2. Under ‘Scripting category’ select Script ‣ Add object.

  3. Browse and select the required script from the file system and click Add.

    A script is added under the PLC device. By default, the added script file is launched.

  4. The default parameter values are read from the script. The user can edit the default values as required.

Note

Editing scripts within Automation_Builder is not supported. You can use an external editor to edit the script and then import it to Automation_Builder.

Note

The script objects can be reused within the project via copy-and-paste around the device tree.
