Firmware Update of internal coupler for PROFINET

To update the internal coupler to actual PROFINET Firmware proceed as follows:

  1. Unzip the file „Update_PNIO.zip“ on SD card.

  2. Insert the SD card into the PM595 CPU.

  3. Switch Power Off/On:

    Run LED blinks

    Run and Rdy LEDs on the left side of the PM595 (left column) for 1st. Internal coupler blink

    RUN LED blinks

    Run and Rdy LED on the left side of the PM595 (right column) for 2nd. Internal coupler blink

    RUN LED blinks slowly

    Note

    The procedure should require 3 – 5 minutes

  4. Remove the SD card.

  5. Switch Power Off/On.

  6. Login in Automation_Builder:

    Navigate to Version Informations.

    ⇒

    Firmware V 2.8.1.2 or newer for Internal coupler must be displayed.

  7. Update Internal coupler on ETHERCAT Firmware
