Tab ‘CANopen Module - I/O Mapping’

Object: CANopen module

This tab shows the name of the automatically generated module instance in the Variable column of IEC Objects. You can then access this instance via the application. Therefore, an application can restart or stop the module, or even perform a status check.

Project variables are mapped to the outputs and inputs of the module on this tab.

Please refer to the description for the general I/O mapping dialog.

Reset mapping CODESYS resets the mapping settings to the default values defined by the device description file.
Refresh variables

Definition for the device object about updating I/O variables. The default value is defined in the device description.

  • Use settings from the superordinate device: Update according to the settings of the superordinate device.
  • Activates 1 (use bus cycle task if not used in another task): CODESYS Updates the I/O variables in the bus cycle task if it is not used in another task.
  • Activate 2 (always in bus cycle task): CODESYS updates all variables in each cycle of the bus cycle task, regardless of whether they are used or mapped to an input or output channel.
