Configuration of the Serial Interfaces (Interfaces \ / COM1 and COM2)

The AC500 CPUs PM57x, PM58x and PM59x are equipped with the two interfaces COM1 and COM2 which can be operated as RS-232 and RS-485.

Note

RS 485 operation of an interface is only possible, if the parameter “RTS control” is set to “telegram”.

The AC500 PM55x and PM56x CPUs are equipped with two interfaces COM1 and COM2 (option) which can be operated only as RS-485. The parameter RTS control is set by default to telegram and can not be changed.
